However\, the industry often attracts criticism over the profits that it makes\, and the adverse reactions that occur in some patients. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJohn worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 35 years. During the time that he lived in Connecticut in the United States\, a company from that state\, Purdue Pharmaceuticals\, were responsible for fuelling the opioid crisis\, which has led to hundreds of thousands of deaths in the US from the misuse of pain killing drugs.
