Understanding Website Hosting: Insights from Neil Batchelor
21st September @ 7:30 pm
Neil Batchelor, who owns Encode, the company that hosts the websites of Cafe Sci, as well as The Leamington Society and the Leamington History Group, will explain how hosting companies enable websites to work safely. Although many small organisations try to run their own systems they may well be vulnerable to security and continuity problems. Neil will outline the basics of how websites actually work, and the interaction with the design of a site. You can expect quite a few surprises, and have the chance to ask specific questions afterwards.
